Pritha Roy began to create intuitively her first songs at the tender age of 6 years. Basically self trained she has also taken some training in classical Indian vocals. Stephan Rigert spotted her talent and presented her songs to the European audience for the first time in 2005. An album was also released in 2006. In the current project by Stephan Rigert  her surprising and original songs receive  opportunity to be presented in a suitable framework again. DIFFERENT MOODS, a fascinating and sensual and powerful journey into new worlds of sound between different cultures!

 Dream Songs, fiery rhythms, surprising arrangements and virtuoso solos, DIFFERENT-MOODS stands for intercultural encounters at the highest level! Central motives are, as always; Originality, respect, tolerance, enthusiasm and communication!

 1983 traveled to the Berne percussionist Stephan Rigert first to Senegal in West Africa and laid the foundation stone there for his future cultural exchange projects. As part of many more trips to Africa, South America and Asia, created an extensive network of contacts to unique artists from all over the world. Thus, in the last 23 years many cultural exchange projects, which the Swiss and the European concert landscape with high-quality and inspirational accents enriched.

 After a successful tour in 2005 and production of a CD in collaboration with the Swiss Radio DRS, puts a generous invitation of the "cultural factory" in Luxembourg , the foundation stone for the future of creative DIFFERENT MOODS. The "culture factory" allows Stephan Rigert means of a "carte blanche" to develop the project. For now, in cooperation with the Swiss cultural promotion in October-November 2007, a more extensive tour is planned.

 As a tireless experiment in world music rests Stephan Rigert course, not just on our laurels. Rather, he proposes with the current occupation of DIFFERENT-MOODS again entirely new ground: we still largely unknown musicians with Pritha Roy (India), Ibou Ndiaye (Senegal) and Kalinath Mishra (India) should get the opportunity, some of the best musicians from Switzerland and the world-class artists Rhani Krija (Morocco) and Rupak Kulkarni (India) jointly. At the heart of the new approach is (what a surprise) rhythm instruments from all over the world. To meet the incredible Tabla-Künste of Kalinath Mishra on the surprisingly powerful sounds of the West African djembe drum of Ibou Ndiaye. Together with the virtuoso Darabouka-Wirbeln of Rhani Krija, form the three soloists a team which is on the stable of experienced duo grooves Samuel Men-bass drums and percussion-Stephan Rigert to increase maximum benefits. The harmonic framework of the band deliver the keyboardist Chris Wiesendanger, the bassist Eduardo Dudu Penz and guitarist Sandro Schneebeli. The latter is also as a composer decisively involved in the project. Embedded in the warm sounds of guitar, bass and keyboard can be the clear voice of Pritha Roy fully unfold. Exciting dialogues with the North African arts of singing Rhani Krija, and the virtuosic solo excursions of Rupka Kulkarni (Basuri-Flöte) and Dave Feusi (saxophone) round out the rich palette.

November 2007, um 20:15 1983 reiste der Berner Perkussionist Stephan Rigert erstmals nach Senegal in Westafrika und legte dort den Grundstein für seine zukünftigen Kulturaustauschprojekte. Im Rahmen vieler weiterer Reisen nach Afrika, Südamerika und Asien entstand ein umfassendes Netzwerk von Kontakten zu einzigartigen KünstlerInnen aus aller Welt. So wurden in den letzten 23 Jahren zahlreiche Kulturaustauschprojekte möglich, welche die Schweizer und die Europäische Konzertlandschaft mit qualitativ hoch stehenden und inspirierenden Akzenten bereicherte. Nach der erfolgreichen Tournee im Jahr 2005 und einer CD-Produktion in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Schweizer Radio DRS, legt eine grosszügige Einladung der "Kulturfabrik" in Luxemburg den Grundstein für die kreative Zukunft von Different Moods. Die "Kulturfabrik" ermöglicht Stephan Rigert mittels einer "carte blanche" die Weiterentwicklung des Projekts. So ist nun in Zusammenarbeit mit der Schweizer Kulturförderung im Oktober/November 2007 eine weitere umfangreiche Tournee geplant, die erneut auch nach Mels führt. Als unermüdlicher Experimentierer in Sachen Weltmusik ruht sich Stephan Rigert natürlich nicht einfach auf dem Erreichten aus. Vielmehr schlägt er mit der aktuellen Besetzung von Different Moods schon wieder gänzlich neue Wege ein: Die bei uns noch weitgehend unbekannten MusikerInnen Pritha Roy (Indien), Ibou Ndiaye (Senegal) und Kalinath Mishra (Indien) sollen die Gelegenheit erhalten, mit einigen der besten Musikern der Schweiz und den Weltklasse-Künstlern Rhani Krija (Marokko) und Rupak Kulkarni (Indien) gemeinsam aufzutreten.
